Southern Branch of the National Palace Museum positions itself as an Asian Art & Cultural Museum at the international level. It exhibits the temporal and spatial context of national treasure in macro-perspective. It tends to create a new consciousness for the cultural inter-connection among Taiwan, other Asia regions, and the world.

The main exhibiting focusof Southern Branch of the National Palace Museum will be the permanent exhibitions of religious statues, textiles, ceramics, tea culture and Chiayi history.

2. Project Goal
(1) Project Positioning-Branding an “Asian Art Culture”
To link closely “the Museum Functions in Collection and Exhibition” and “The Park Functions in Experiencing and Shopping”
(2) Experiencing Service-raising up recreation quality for visitors
Offering cultural creation exhibition/performance, experiencing facility space, and establishing a cultural experiencing service customized for Southern Branch of the NPM
(3) Promoting Education- A collaborating model of cultural creation between public and private sectors
It will include the related software planning in cultural creation industry through collaborating relationship by brand authorization, trademark authorization and image authorization. It aims to maximize the functions of promotion and education in cultural creation industry.

The total area of Southern Branch of the National Palace Museum has approximately 68.28 hectares. The land use Zoing contents: Museum Area, Area for the Ancillary Facilities of the Museum, Infrastructure in Waterfront/Green Area, Cultural Experiencing Area, Accommodation Area, Parking Space, Detention Basing, Ecological Preservation Zone…etc.
